Telemedicine for the 21st Century with the MORPHEUS™
Since wide area networks exploded into what we know as The Internet, entrepreneurs, researchers, and physicians alike have sought to use this technology to improve their operations. The Morpheus™ robotic microscope offers two possibilities.

First, as a robotic microscope, the Morpheus™ may be remotely operated whether in the next room or on the other side of the world. Full robotic control of the microscope is accomplished via proprietary remote control software while a live video stream is displayed on the controlling computer screen.

Second, the Morpheus™ microscope can be configured to scan slides automatically, digitizing them at high magnification/resolution, and organizing them into an online database where researchers and physicians may review the digital slides with a standard internet browser. Magnifications comparable to a 100x dry objective are achieved with this process thus allowing the reviewer to magnify the image to his or her liking.
